EXAL Malaysia is an award-winning and forward thinking property developer based in Kuching, Sarawak.

Established in 2016, EXAL was founded by Albert Ko and Dr. Bay Yeo who shared a common vision: Better ways of living, beyond buildings.

With humble beginnings in Perth, EXAL’s early developments began with boutique projects, high rise buildings, and student accommodations.

Today, its portfolio includes luxury apartments and residential developments in Australia. In 2022, EXAL Malaysia under the leadership of Albert Ko, launched Kuching’s first bespoke gated-and-guarded community, SÓL Estate, with the concept, Centred Around You. SÓL Estate marks a major milestone in Kuching, bringing Australian-inspired designs, eco-conscious homes, and exceptional living – managed by Knight Frank, a leading property management consultancy.

EXAL Malaysia has been awarded ASEAN-Sarawak Business Excellence Award as well as Best Architecture Multiple Residence and Best Residential Development (20+ Units) for SÓL Estate.

Albert Ko

Managing Director, Malaysia

Albert is a successful developer and property expert in his own right. He leads the strategic development of the company and is primarily involved with the sales and project marketing of our developments.

Dr Bay Yeo

Managing Director, Australia

Dr. Bay is the group managing director of Exal. He is an experienced property developer and is heavily involved at the front end feasibility of development projects, development finance structuring, and is well versed in construction.
